Jul 13–24 2025
For 12 days, young people from Houston, France, Guadeloupe, and Los Angeles came together to learn, lead, and serve at the first Copain du Monde (Friend of the World) Village in the United States, as the Copain du Monde village movement of Secours populaire français celebrated 25 years.
2017 and 2018
During the 2017 and 2018 French Cultures Festivals, the Texan-French Alliance for the Arts, French Education Greater Houston, The Wide School, Eagles on the Rock, and Mark White Elementary joined forces to create an exchange of stories of hope, in French and English, between children in Houston and children in refugee camps and orphanages in Burkina Faso. The stories became the bilingual books Once Upon a Hope / Il Était Une Fois L’Espoir.
Volunteer at an event, sponsor a celebration, or bring your company, school, or community group together to support young people in Houston, France, and beyond.
