Your generosity will allow us to continue to improve the life of under-served, vulnerable and at-risk youth.
Consider supporting our 2019 Spring programs and Summer Enrichment Camp that will benefit several at-risk elementary, middle and high schools, and 500 students across Houston
Level 1: Adopt a youth and contribute towards their continued growth & development through workshops and scholarships. It costs $155 to send Alejandra through the Be the Peace- Be the Hope social & emotional healing arts program. Please help Alejandra recover from post-Harvey trauma, bullying, isolation and lack of hope.
Level 2: Adopt a classroom for $3,500. 77% of H.I.S.D. students are underprivileged. A high percentage of these youth are isolated or detached from their environment due to today’s threatening conditions (including gangs, extremists, child trafficking, poverty) and lack the education they need in order to survive and thrive.
Dr. Paul Gerson has adopted one Emerson Elementary classroom, an as a direct result 20 youth have experienced life changing and affirming experiences (better physical & emotional safety, increase in positive identity & resiliency, increase in relationships & communication through nonviolent communication, increase in creativity & self-efficacy, increase in respect, and up to 60% reduction in depression and anxiety). The program provided art supplies and supported four program facilitators & experts per classroom, and pre/post evaluations.
