You don't have to have it all figured out.
Parenting comes with joy, questions, pressure, unexpected challenges—and no perfect instruction manual.
For more than ten years, Be Peace – Be Hope has helped young people, parents, caregivers, and educators build practical skills for well-being, confidence, relationships, and everyday life.
Here, families can learn, practice, and grow together.
Families & Caregivers We all carry things no one else can see.
Stress from the day. Worry about the future. Guilt about something we wish we had handled differently. Expectations, responsibilities, and emotions we may not always have words for.
Our children carry their own invisible backpacks too.
What we carry can shape how we listen, respond, connect, and create the atmosphere of our homes.
The good news is that many of these skills can be learned and practiced.
And you don't have to learn them alone.
Nobody parents alone here.
A Be Peace – Be Hope Parenting Circle is a small, welcoming space where parents and caregivers can pause, learn, reflect, practice, and connect with others navigating many of the same everyday challenges.
With the support of a trained facilitator, everyone has space to be heard. There is no expectation to be a perfect parent and no judgment about where you are starting.
The circle represents something important to us: connection, continuity, and the understanding that families move through difficult seasons and joyful ones, and can grow stronger through both.
And the skills you practice here are not only parenting skills.
They are skills for relationships, communication, stress, confidence, boundaries, empathy, and life.
-
Small groups
Space for meaningful conversation and connection.
-
Guided sessions
Each gathering combines reflection, learning, practice, and practical tools.
-
In person and online
Designed to meet families where they are.
-
Tools you can keep using
Bring what you learn into your home, relationships, and daily routines.
Growth happens one step at a time.
Our family journey is inspired by the natural elements that help something grow, from the first spark of possibility to the ways we carry what we have learned into the world.
-
Fire — Ignite
Start with what matters most. Name the hopes you have for yourself and your family, recognize what you want to strengthen, and begin building a supportive circle around that intention.
-
Earth — Ground
Understand what is happening beneath the surface. Learn to recognize your own emotions, needs, triggers, strengths, and patterns—and better understand what your child may be experiencing too.
-
Water — Nurture
Strengthen the relationships that help families grow. Practice listening, communication, empathy, boundaries, encouragement, and ways to move through conflict with greater connection.
-
Air — Expand
Carry what you are learning beyond yourself. Turn empathy and compassion into action through small family choices, acts of care, and projects that contribute to your community.
From awareness to connection. From connection to action.
What does a session actually feel like?
A place to pause before you have to respond.
Imagine arriving after a long day.
Maybe something happened that morning with your child and you are still thinking about how you reacted. Maybe you are simply tired.
A session might begin like this:
-
Check In
Pause and notice how you are arriving—without judgment.
-
Reset
Use breathing, movement, grounding, or mindfulness to slow down and become more present.
-
Understand
Explore one practical idea about stress, emotions, the brain, communication, relationships, or parenting.
-
Talk It Through
Share perspectives, ask questions, and hear how other parents experience similar situations.
-
Try It
Practice a conversation, response, boundary, or tool before you need it in the middle of a difficult moment.
-
Create & Reflect
Use writing, drawing, visualization, or another creative activity to make the learning personal.
-
Take It Home
Choose one small, realistic thing to try with yourself or your family.
You leave with more than an idea.
You leave with something you can actually use.
Learn it. Then pass it on.
The work begins with you—not because everything is your responsibility, but because you are part of the relationship.
For You
Before using a tool with your child, you experience it yourself.
You learn how to recognize your own stress, pause before reacting, communicate more clearly, understand your needs, and respond to yourself with greater compassion.
The goal is not perfection.
It is having more choices when difficult moments come.
For Your Child
Then you learn how to adapt those same tools for your child.
A breathing practice becomes something you can do together.
An emotion check-in becomes a conversation at the kitchen table.
A communication tool becomes another way to navigate conflict.
A strength exercise becomes a way to help your child recognize what is already inside them.
Most of us were never formally taught these skills.
We can learn them now—and pass them forward.
A simple way to remember what we practice.
-
Realign
Pause and reconnect your daily choices with the values and hopes you have for your family.
-
Empower
Build practical skills and confidence within a community that supports your growth.
-
Act
Turn what you are learning into small, meaningful changes at home and in your relationships.
-
Love
Lead with compassion, connection, and respect—and model the qualities you hope your children will carry forward.
REAL change is not about becoming a perfect parent. It is about becoming more aware, intentional, connected, and able to choose how you want to respond.
Grounded in learning. Made for real life.
Our approach brings together insights and practices from neuroscience, mindfulness, positive psychology, child and adolescent development, communication, emotional intelligence, and creative expression.
For more than ten years, Be Peace – Be Hope has worked alongside children, young people, educators, and families to translate these ideas into experiences and tools people can actually use.
More than 1,000 parents and educators have participated in our training and learning experiences.
Whenever appropriate, we use feedback and pre- and post-program assessments to understand what is working and continue improving what we offer.
From families who have been there
Sometimes another parent says it best.
"I realized I didn't always need to have the answer. Sometimes my child needed me to listen differently."
